Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
CampusFit helps high-school students find colleges that fit them. This policy says what the app collects, what it does with it, and how to delete it. Questions or requests: [YOUR SUPPORT EMAIL].
Who CampusFit is for
CampusFit is for students aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
What stays on your device
You can use CampusFit without an account. In that case everything below stays on your phone and is never sent to us:
- Your survey answers: first name (optional), graduation year, home state, intended major, grades, test scores, activities, college preferences and yearly budget. Every question can be skipped.
- Your matches, which are worked out on the phone itself.
- The colleges you save or pass on, your notes, and your application tracker.
What we store if you create an account
An account is optional. If you create one, we store the following on our servers so your list is backed up and can be restored on another device:
- Your email address and a password. The password is stored only in hashed form; we cannot read it.
- The date you confirmed you are 13 or older.
- The survey answers, saved colleges, notes and application tracker listed above.
- Whether your CampusFit Premium subscription is active.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never see your card number or billing address. Apple tells the app whether your subscription is active, and if you have an account that status is saved with it.
Usage information
The app may send us basic usage events, such as that a screen was opened or a trial was started. They are tied to a random number created when the app is installed. They never include your survey answers, your name or your email address.
College pictures
Photos of colleges are loaded from Wikimedia Commons when they are shown, and where a college has no photo the app shows the campus from the air, from Apple Maps. To get a picture the app asks Wikimedia or Apple for that picture, the way a web browser would. It sends nothing about you and never your location, which CampusFit does not ask for. Wikimedia and Apple handle those requests under their own privacy policies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone.
- We do not share your information with colleges. CampusFit is not affiliated with any college.
How we use information
We use the information above only to work out and show your matches, to back up and restore your data, to manage your subscription, to answer support requests, and to understand in general terms how the app is used so we can improve it.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in system, on servers in the United States.
- Apple processes purchases and provides Apple Maps.
- The Wikimedia Foundation serves the college photos.
These companies may only use the information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your data
- On your device: until you delete it. Profile > Delete my data erases it immediately.
- In an account: until you delete the account. Profile > Delete my account permanently erases the account and everything stored with it from our database straight away. Copies in routine backups are gone within 30 days.
- Deleting your data or account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
- Profile > Export my data gives you a copy of everything the app holds about you.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Each account can only read and change its own data. Your sign-in is kept in the iPhone Keychain.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your personal information. You can do all of that in the app as described above, or by contacting us. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app.
